INTRODUCTION

Wyke Green has a small but thriving Ladies Section for all levels of golfing ability. Currently we are about  40 actively playing members.  While we are very pleased to have a number of single-figure lady golfers, our Ladies Section contains players of all ranges and offers events to appeal to everyone from weekly roll-ups and fun competitions played in a friendly atmosphere to the more serious Honours Board and interclub competitions.  One very positive facet of the Ladies section at Wyke Green is the fact that members of all levels play together so it can improve your golf and your golfing knowledge with tips from our experienced players.  We have friendly matches in the weekday and weekend against other local clubs for all who wish to play and a couple of Seniors matches for the over 60's.

Our Ladies are very well represented in the Middlesex County 1st, 2nd and Seniors Teams and participate in the Middlesex 5 a-side scratch competition, The Mail on Sunday and the Pearson Trophy (having been previous winners).

 Club Competitions

Ladies Medal and Stableford competitions are held twice monthly on Sundays for weekend players and on Thursdays for midweek players.

Our biggest events are the Ladies Invitation, Spring and Autumn Meetings together with the Ladies Club Championship held over a July weekend and the Lady Captain’s Day in September. In addition there are many  knock-out competitions in the summer months and two in the winter.  Furthermore there are plenty of Mixed Competitions; Bank Holiday Mondays [with a variety of formats – greensomes, 4-BBB, Texas Scramble, string];  Summer Evening Foursomes and

On the social front, in addition to the regular meetings for ladies who play golf, there are a number of social  events organised throughout the year.
