The designers were F.G. Hawtree and J.H. Taylor who even to this day remain among the best golf course designers of all time.
Since its creation the course has been continually improved upon with its abundance of trees helping to attract a wide variety of wildlife, improve the drainage and demand that golfers ensure their aim is true.
The course has been used by the Middlesex County Golf Union for countless matches and Championships over the years and is known throughout the golfing community as a fine example of a classic parkland course.
Whilst the Standard Scratch Score for Wyke Green is 69 the course record 65 set by Mr M.R. Johnson in 1984 stood until the Worman Sword in 2009. Mr S. Fallon completed a fine round of 64 in the second round of the Worman Sword.
Considering the course has been played by literally tens of thousands of players including some world class golfers such as Gary Player, Greg Norman and Retief Goosen the course has stood the test of time.

A challenging Par 69 for men and 73 for ladies, the course at Wyke Green offers a fair challenge to golfers of all abilities. Gentle elevation changes throughout the course, make it a pleasant walk for golfers of all ages.
