Oli Tucker (BSc Sports Science)
Head Professional | Surrey County Coach
Whether you’re picking up a golf club for the first time, trying to break 100, or competing at an elite level, my goal is the same: help you improve faster by understanding how to practise, not just what to change.
Over the last 15 years I’ve coached golfers of every standard while continually developing my own knowledge through sports science, coaching research and practical experience. I believe great coaching isn’t about making the swing more complicated—it’s about making improvement simpler.
One of the biggest reasons golfers stop improving isn’t a lack of information; it’s that they’ve never been shown how to train effectively. That’s where much of our work together begins. We’ll combine technical coaching with skill development, structured practice and clear goals that transfer onto the golf course.
My coaching philosophy has been shaped by more than just golf. Before specialising in golf I worked as a Brentford FC Academy Coach, later becoming a Coaching Consultant for UK Coaching, helping develop coaches across multiple sports. Those experiences gave me a different perspective on learning and performance—one that I now bring into every golf lesson.
Today I’m proud to be a Surrey County Coach, combining a Sports Science degree with years of coaching experience to help golfers reach their potential.
When I’m not coaching you’ll usually find me supporting Spurs, planning the next golf trip, or hoping Croatia finally builds a golf course in Dubrovnik.
